| What's
happening in local family councils |
| |
There are currently 15 family councils
reported in the central area of Illinois served by the I CARE
Long Term Care Ombudsman program.
Some of these family councils are newly formed and only have been
in existence for a few months.
If your family council exists in
a licensed skill care, intermediate care, shelter care, assisted
living, supported living, or an intermediate care for the developmentally
disabled facility in Illinois, please let us know by e-mailing
email@tlcintlc.org
-
Send us:
-
The name of your
family council,
-
the name of facility,
-
the name of facility
staff member who is assisting the family council,
-
the address of
the facility, and
-
the name of your
family council chair.

We would like to
know what is happening in your family council.
If you have words of encouragement, positive experiences, or even
suggestions on how families can improve their family council, send
us a line!
|
We are collecting information from
local family councils across the state to better understand and
serve family councils on the grass roots level, because that is
where the most difference can be made.
We would like to hear what is happening
in your family council and what differences your family council
has made in the lives of the facility's residents.
Please share with us your experiences
concerning:
- Ways in which your family council
has made a difference in the retention of facility staff.
- Ways in which your family council
has assisted the activity director in providing more activities
for residents.
- Problems in care your family
council has identified and how they were resolved by communicating
and working with the facility.
- Problems in care your family
council has identified and not resolved in the facility.
- Any other way your family council
has assisted the nursing home in providing quality care!
